September 21st, 2017

Gary, Deb and I just got back from a couple jam packed days at our Connect 2017 conference.  As the name of the conference “connect” implies we spend much of this time- sharing ideas with associates from across the country.  There were many new faces from Industrial Alliance management to meet and learn about our new partnership.  It is always great to touch base with old friends and make new ones.

In addition to all the work involved in the transition over the last six months we have begun an extensive review of our investment research process together.  We have been working with partners to maximize technology and new research tools for our clients.  The conference gave us a great chance to brainstorm and share ideas to make your experience with us even better.

One of the traditions at our conferences is a section regarding giving back to the community.  Last year two hundred and twenty- five advisors prepared thousands of meals to send to families overseas through a Canadian based charity.  This year we focused closer to home and had a group in from the Children’s Breakfast Clubs, which is a charity focused on feeding and clothing under privileged local youth.  It was started in Toronto and now serves a variety of southern Ontario communities.  They sent a children’s choir that was truly inspiring to entertain us.  HollisWealth advisors and corporate partners were quickly able to raise funds for well over 40,000 breakfasts….and counting.  Visit www.breakfastclubs.ca to learn more.

P.S. Enjoy the great fall weather we are enjoying!
