Senior Financial Advisor at Investia Financial Services Inc.

Gary Elder

I left the corporate world in 2000 after working in roles that ranged from electronic technology and engineering, to manufacturing and business management, and then to statistical analysis and problem-solving. At the age of 34, I found myself searching for more personal fulfillment from my career so that I could make an impact on people’s lives, not just increased profits for a company. With that as my guiding philosophy, I joined the financial services business and became an advisor.

By 2003, I had completed three years of schooling and attained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation - since then, I’ve been on a non-stop education train! I love learning, and whatever information I gather, I can pass along to my clients.

I am very proud to be building a successful financial planning business alongside my business partners and employees. More importantly, I have managed to achieve my personal goal of having a significant and positive impact in the lives of my clients, and have built some amazing relationships along the way.

In addition to being a financial advisor, I have developed a lifelong passion for all things mechanical and can often be found in my garage tinkering with vintage motorcycles - in fact, anything that runs on gasoline and makes noise! I have also labelled myself a “wine sampler” (as opposed to a “wine drinker”), and my wife and I enjoy spending time in the summer touring the wineries of Prince Edward County.
